Holy shit. Just got my insurance quote for moving to AZ. My same plan will increase $60+ a month for the same coverage.

Time to shop for someone else. My current policy is almost as old as I am. I somehow got my moms old/awesome policy when we swapped cars years ago. But I am ready to drop a 25+ year old policy for that much of an increase. Fucking a.

Have you heard.... 15 mins with Gieco could save you $400! (I am not one of those people) :notsure:

I love USAA (If you qualify to be a member) and I have family that loves Liberty Mutual. It is always smart to shop around every few years.

Not sure I qualify for USAA. Probably don't.

We get discounts with Liberty Mutual at work. I'm calling them tomorrow. I probably need to say goodbye to my $0 deductible policy with State Farm.

I think I have a tendency to get comfortable and stay loyal to certain things. I've had SF since I could drive, had the same number and cell service for the last 14 years, etc.

Your car insurance will be higher depending on what city you move to. PHX is Hi, Mesa, Gilbert is a lot lower.

I do have a quick question for everyone that has a Gen 3 Tacoma. If you added a SPOD where and how do you mount or add your switches. I only have 1 open socket.

The financial goal is to pay as little as possible to insurance companies. Put a little away until you have the higher deductible in savings, then change your policy to the higher one, then save again, and again... repeat. Until you can pay the highest possible deductible out of pocket, so you are paying the least amount to insurance companies. In theory, you should be able to pay for most repairs out of pocket and avoid your insurance policy from ever going up. More truck mod money in the end.

Up your deductible and your premium should go down.

Last time I tried that (locally), I would've only saved $15 a year....

and I almost bought a 79 Toyota truck last year until I got quotes for insurance and it was only $20 cheaper than my 2013 Tacoma. Fuck that.

Luckily there isn't much driving to do from the bedroom to the kitchen for you I'd be betting.

You could always get one of these though to speed up that commute:

Are there any insurance people on here? I get irritated every renewal when my rates go up.

@Daria , tell Ryan to move, his hood is all up in your expenses. (Assuming you are still making him your concubine.)

We need land and/or a shop. I don't think he wants to move anytime soon. Hell, I hate moving and I'm not even there yet.

Can you link me the entrance to that trail? Wasn't aware there was another trail head.
