2000 Tacoma 3.4 misfire please help!!!

    Try swapping injectors or using the ohm meter method though I'm not sure how to perform that one. Cyl 4 is middle driver's side so you'll be removing the intake manifold. the next step from there would be compression test or leak down.

    I just went through this with cyl 3. Over the course of a year my truck didn't always want to start when it was hot / sitting for a short while. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and then one day it started throwing the P0303 code and eventually the P0300 code with the shakes. I replaced wires / plugs / coil packs, swapped injectors, etc, nothing worked. I ended up taken it to a mechanic where they discovered coolant was leaking into cylinder 3 when hot and needed new cyl heads and head gaskets.

    Wow, I hope mine isn't that bad off. This motor supposedly has 66K on it.

    You can get diy kits from autozone afaik and return it so they don't charge you for it.
