Only if you modified that part, the can't make a blanket statement that it voids everything.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty of your vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part was the cause of or contributed to the failure of the vehicle (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)). This means that a vehicle's warranty cannot be "voided;" the dealer can only deny a claim if the stock part failed due to damage or unreasonable use.

I know the Magnuson-Moss Act well. There's always someone that brings it up when warranty and aftermarket parts are brought up. I think your confused on what I was saying, I never said void, I said the dealer doesn't make the decision Toyota does. And in the real world the Magnuson-Moss Act usually doesn't work, most people don't have the time or money to fight Toyota and hire lawyers to prove their side. Just cause that Act exists doesn't mean they follow it. So like I said pay to play.

I agree with you except for one point. Toyota may have the final say but the dealer, in my experience, is the first to tell the customer that they have voided the warranty on the
spot and without ever consulting mother Toyota. Once again, in my experience, the dealer did this very same to me and when I got Corporate involved and cited the MM act to the dealer with Corporate on the conference call, they told the dealer to warranty it.
