Silly boy. Put the marketing hat on. They are salt water injected. Should be selling for 3x.

Is there anyone with a Weber Performer that could let me know how the propane starter fits in to the kettle? There are a few for sale for pretty cheap, but they kettle itself is a bit beat up and in black. I'm mostly interested in the table and can use the kettle it comes with for parts, but I'd want to drop my copper kettle in its place. If the starter is convenient enough to swap over, I'd use it. If not, no worries. I'll probably try to snag one and just swap my kettle over and ditch the starter.

Is that the cost of the net to fish them out of the water or potentially the air as they fly by?

I wouldn't use a board when specifically trying to smoke. The PBC is a weird kind of hybrid between grilling and smoking. I mostly used the board to aid in the putting it on and pulling it off. Got a little cedar smoke to it though, next I won't soak it too long and use a thinner board.

If you have smokeable meats, uncooked or already cooked and frozen, have them ready for first responders (should it get in that area). They appreciate a good meal. And who would refuse bbq.

Hopefully restaurants will set up and deliver food when they're able to be up and running. But if you have the means to help out in the mean time, might as well.

Absolutely! I'm in the Hilton Head area where it's supposed to make a second landfall. When Matthew hit, I was the only person in the neighborhood able to get out and about due to the flooding. I went looking for the stranded linemen that needed food and water but couldn't find them (and they never responded to me requesting their location). If we end up staying, I'll be smoking and grilling in the aftermath...and if we go, I'll do it when we get back. I've got plenty of frozen stuff that could use a good rotation out of stock.

For real, though, @dan0mite, if you're going to be cooking for first responders, line-men/women, or any folks affected by the storm and need some rub. Send me a note.
