Ok guys so i am going to be building my stereo system using an Ipad Mini Gen4. I am wanting to use a single din deck behind the ipad so that in the case the Ipad goes down or malfunctions i still have a radio to use. I have already purchase the Fifield Fabrications ipad mini kit that is the spring loaded one. I have a spare radio bezel that i bought off of here for cheap and a metra dash kit. I am going to begin cutting everything up and making the pieces all fit together. My real question is I have already replaced the factory 6x9 speakers with kickers. I know that Sony radios offer the App remote App that allows the ipad to control the radio itself while being docked. What do i need to do to retain steering wheel controls? What sony unit and adapters do i need?

    Update 9-7-17
I have dove off head first into this thing and it has been grueling. But the results are killer!

Starting out just trying to map out how I'm gonna figure this out, I managed to cut a hole so now what Now I've got to actually shape it. It took a lot of patience. Using a dremel a few beers and about 3 hours to get everything plastic fused and fitted up. And at this point I I knew that I needed to clean everything get everything ground down and start making sure it all fit in the bezel still. Sure enough had to make some adjustments and do a little grinding on it but it all fits in the factory location now. Now it's time to do some bondo and make this thing pretty then some primer and now moving on to finishing which is not my forte as I don't have the patience for it I give it a shot. After screwing up and having to re prime and sand one side of the bezel I finally got it all painted and fitted up. It looks pretty good if I say so myself
