    Hey everyone, typical 'new to lifts' thread here. I've been gathering parts piece by piece and I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything important, or even suggestions.

    I have the following components so far;
    • 2.5 Front Coilover IFP Extended Travel (0-3")
    • 2.0 Performance Series Res w/CD Adj 2-3"
    • SPC Light Racing UCA's
    • Dakar Leaf Pack w/ the bushings and ubolts
    I've read a ton on the ECGS bushing to replace the needle bearing so I'm probably going to order one of those as well.

    I have a set of 17 inch SCS Ray10's that I'm debating wrapping with 275/70/17 KO2's or something of similar size, not sure I want to go 285. For these I know I need the extended lug nuts.

    I've seen and read several threads where people are adding extended brake lines and bump stops as well. Are these something specifically needed?

    Please let me know if I'm missing anything else that I would need! Thanks!

    Probably a good idea to extend those brake lines front and rear

    I ran stock lines on dakars for years - you'll be fine. The fronts I would do if you're pulling big travel numbers but not needed for a mid travel setup.

    Def extend the rear lines with either stainless braided or a spacer to raise them. Fronts don't need to be extended with a coil over lift, just when you start doing spindle, drop bracket, or long travel. I do recommend stainless braided all around for improved brake performance. If you want to put 285 tires on, they may require some trimming of the fender well up front, def remove the mud flaps, and possibly chop the cab mount. Another thing, if not already considered is a sway bar relocate, that pesky sway bar likes to rub on new shocks. There are some other things, bit you should have the lift on first to see if you need them, such as carrier bearing drop. If you get take off vibes, sometimes this will prevent or lighten the vibration. Good luck with your lift. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Just need a long spacer/washer and longer flange bolt from hardware store. Costs less than $5.

    What's your opinion in the brake lines vs the bracket? Getting the extended 5100s from headstrong, they seem to have some serious travel so I'm not sure if the bracket will be enough?

    What performance increase do the stainless steel give?

    Your current soft brake lines are rubber which will expand under pressure. The brake fluid will also take the color out of the rubber and that's mostly how the fluid turns dark. The stainless braided lines use PTFE hose which will not expand under braking pressure, delivering more energy from the pedal to the pad, increasing response time and giving a firmer brake feel. Also, the PTFE has no color for the brake fluid to adsord, so the fluid in your reservoir stays clear.

    Dakars and ECGS bushing should be here by the weekend! Still haven't bought brake lines, any recommendations on where to buy from? I see that standing group buy for SS brake lines, would that be my best bet?

    No experience with those, but Power Stop can be had cheap on Amazon. I have Goodridge on mine, they're nice, but had to modify rear line brackets to make em fit, then when I called their engineering dept. , they didn't give a shit about that, so I'm sure they're the same, and you have to modify the bracket, so don't go with Goodridge.
