    ^^^ This.

Led to this for me. Works great, and only takes up 1/2" vertical space.

Did some wiring yesterday, my favorite thing. (Not)

Pulled the dash and radio with my switch panel. Swapped a OTTRAW switch and chased down a little wiring problem with my rear pods. GOOD to go

Then when pulling out I hear a big clunk coming from what sounded like the front end. When going slow turning right out of my parking spot. Felt it in the steering wheel and even seat so it wasn't just a little clunk. It also happened when I returned home and was slowly reversing while turning the wheel into my spot.

Guess I'll attempt to go figure out the issue tonight.

-new oem BJ few months ago w/ tight bolts
    -no swaybar
-OTRE boots are ripped but don't think they have play yet
-one wheel bearing was replaced few months back. Other one is probably due but don't think it would cause a clunk?
    -steering rack original oem
-LCA bolts tight (could use new bushings though)

Probably start with greasing the driveshaft. Taking the tires off and checking the caliper bolts. Then maybe see if something is loose or something with the skidplates?

How are the lower rod bearings on your coilovers?

They should be good. They are roughly a year old but will check when I get back to the apartment

Mine were toast after a year, and made a similar clunking sound when you weighted and unweighted a control arm. You need to pull the coilover to really check.

Okay tonight I'll pull the coilovers and check for play etc

Anything else I should pay close attention to?

Edit: I did get and alignment about a week ago. Maybe they could have forgotten/ not tighten enough the LCA bolts?

Very common they don't torque those enough. Make sure there's 100+ft/lbs on them. Not sure on the exact torque spec.

I use the german torque spec of guten-tight. :p

I got it aligned. Drove 400 miles to AZ from CA.

When braking heard a clunk. Weird but went wheeling two days later and my alignment was REALLY off. Then it started clunking more. Definitely starting to believe that it's the lca bolts

Sounds like it might be the bolts, but I used to have a clunk that was do to worn caliper pins/mounting holes in pads.

Getting some ideas for my truck...

Definitely solved the rear visibility problem from the stock tiny mirrors. Maybe I'll choose these over the 4Runner mirrors I was looking at.

Just hit the cam bolts with the torque wrench. I had similar issues with a stripped out cam bolt and an alignment guy forgot to torque them as well causing a squeak with new bushings. Takes 20 minutes even if you have to remove your splash guards / skid plates.

I found more pictures of it. This might quite be possibly the ugliest Tacoma I have ever seen in my life.
