I can 't get over how crazy shit is here. Today the gas station near my house was so packed it was scary....I'm like, where the f#$& did all these people come from!

Then again, I have so many huge trees in my back yard though, I'm terrified of having some of them come down on the house.

Me as well. We had a big hail storm 4-5 years ago- trees fell just missing my home. We'll see what happens with this.

Wife was at Costco yesterday for normal shopping trip- nearly all water was gone. Harris Teeter said all water is gone from their distribution center; all other store are reporting outages here. Maybe since I am closer to the freeway???

All the new hotels near me are full too.

Cant imagine tropical storm winds all the way up here- but that is exactly what is in the forecast. Hope all along the coast will be fine, too.

It kind of reminds me of the Ridgeline but with a better looking nose.

Can you guys help me decide on something?

I currently live on the border of Orange County and Los Angeles. I drive 40 miles to work each way and it takes me 2.5 hours. I need to be at work by 8:30 so I leave at 6 am.

Now I had an idea. Based on Google Maps, driving from Greenville to Charlotte to arrive by at the same time, is only around 1.5 hours. Is this accurate? We have an office in Charlotte and I am thinking of living in Greenville and driving to Charlotte every day. I know it is approximately 200 miles round trip, but less time. I get gas paid for so I could care less about expense.

    Any advice welcome.

Ed has a set of full skids wanting $550 shipped or $500 pickup. Great deal so someone jump on it.

A coworker of mine lives in Spartanburg and commutes to Greenville. Her husband commutes to Rock Hill from Spartanburg. She said traffic going towards CLT isn't bad. Once you get into CLT, good freaking luck. It's a shit show.

I-85 can be a whooping at peak hours. And there is always construction somewhere along the route you describe.

I guess it depends on where in charlotte. It's a pretty big area and the 85/77 interchange and get busy during rush hour.

    Wherw in CLT??

Look up Gaffney- to CLT- that about 1hr 10-15 mins ir so.

From spartanburg- Appx 1 hr 20 mins

Greenville to CLT is easily 2hrs to 2hrs 15 mins.

I 85 through Gastonia sucks in rush- both ways.

@JimboAnz or anyone that travels this frequntly- chime in...

Appears to be in "uptown" Charlotte.

Google maps the addresses at 5, 6 pm EASTERN. It will be 2+ hrs. With traffic. Right now 1:40mins.
