What is this hole drilling that your talking about? There was a member on here that had a turbo kit for a new Taco, I believe a '13 and the shifting was so hard that he gave up and sold the kit in the classifieds. I would hate to make that mistake.

The trans go kit comes with drill bits of different sizes in the instructions it tells you to drill two or three holes bigger then original size on the plat between the valve body

This is the one I got you have a choice of truck or hot rod shifts I did hot rod it can be a little bit annoying sometimes in stop and go traffic but you're always guaranteed chirping the tires from 1st to 2nd IMG_5774.PNG.jpg

So the Transgo isn't going to help with hard shifting when a turbo kit was installed. Would actually make it worse. I'd be in for a turbo or supercharger kit if the end result was a very "normal" result with a linner power delivery. No knocking, pinging, hard shifting or jerky acceleration.

Funny thing about holes is the diameter don't mean squat. Doubling the diameter is actually making the hole way bigger than 2x the size. You need to double the area not the diameter lol.

I would measure the hole and increase just a tiny bit.

I wonder how it shifted harder. Line pressure is determined by the SLU valve if I remember correctly. The shift firmness is set via the accumulators. So if you stick a solid rod behind the accumulator as they did in the older Supra you increase the shift firmness without a line pressure increase.

The transgo kit is just to make firm shifts in the trans instead of soft ideal for performance applications. It dosent affect the performance of the turbo that i noticed. What iv noticed with the turbo in my case is that the power comes on at 2000 rpm (i love that spooling noise) to 6000 (rev limiter) if i let it but before that not much power. Im told that can be taken care of with a high stall converter but im not interested in that i still love it

You would have to see the instructions to understand all of it. Your changing out springs, taking out springs, check balls , valves and drilling certain holes out bigger depending on your type of valve body

I think I remember reading about said member, but I'm pretty sure he was running a URD S/C and that's what was causing the hard shifting.

I have some parts for a turbo setup, got pretty far but I just gave up.

Probably going ls1 for that v8 noise I've heard of
