If bedding is the only issue, you didn't ruin anything. You can re-bed brakes since it's just brake pad material building up on metal which is not as hard. Worst case (and this is extremely unlikely) is that you'd have to get the rotor turned to start level again.

But have you checked the rotor surface to see if it's level all the way from the middle to the outside? My neighbor had a shaky rotor and you could feel the grooves in the rotor.

Makes it easier when you have the whole spindle off :)

There's no undoing It that I've ever experienced. If it's caused from improper bedding the only way to fix it is to have the rotors turned. You can try using a die grinder and Sanding disk to scuff the rotor surfaces.

Bummer - I had read you could re-bed brakes when I was trying to get my new hawk pads to stop squeaking. I guess maybe I had read that about brakes that squeaked. Different issue than brakes that shake :(

I'm surprised the mechanic didn't suggest it when I took it to him... Well I guess it is what it is.

The rotor was fine when I took it to see if it was true a few days ago no grooves, or anything. Still looked brand new.

Rotors can have uneven brake pad material build up on them and not have it be obvious - my neighbor's car was probably an extreme case. @mechanicjon

UPDATE... Hey guys! So I talked to Amazon and they sent me a new set of brakes and rotors for free and I changed them and properly bedded them. I also replaced the bad cv. Still shakes... I'm bummed. Kind of at a loss now. I also felt a shake in my well as I was driving down a bad road the other day and it got worse as I slowed. I'm wondering if it's rack and Pinon now...
