Yeah, thanks. Have you experienced any hairy passing situations going up truck trails? Just seems like it could get intense.

It happens. Of all the trips I've done over the past year and a half or so, I've never been in a situation where it was so bad that both parties had to get out and really strategize how to make it work. Generally there's a decent option for one or both parties. Just be sure to go slow if you're in an area where there are blind turns or big hills where you can't see ahead, most people do the same but there's always someone out there hauling ass and it will only make matters worse if you both are. Not to mention, always be on the lookout for dirt bikes or people hiking.

other thing i can think of is telling others its just you/asking them how many are with them just so you dont think its just one and there is another around a corner

i haven't seen this on i guess the offroad community, but when we hit trail on the dirt bikes, its customary to put up however many people are in your group with your fingers. i.e. 2 fingers = 2 bikes...5 fingers = 5 or more bikes.

Yup, this is also important. Always let people you're passing know how many are behind you, or hold up a fist to indicate none.

lots of peps forget about that part pulling tail duty, i've yet to see anyone do it but i've only really started getting serious about hitting trials in the truck for the last 2yrs....So i still got a lot of trails to hit.
