Cooper Discoverer A/T3 and Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Currently running both on 4X4 fleet vehicles and am very impressed. Also about to put a set of Hercules Terra Trac T/G Maxx on another 4X4 fleet vehicle. It's an F250, but I'll try to write a review the best I can considering it's not a truck I actually drive.

Did you feel a difference in ride quality? My E-rated KO2s seemed to ride rough, but could have been my suspension too. I put on KM2s and also put on IFS and Mid skids (steel) and that actually made my ride much better. I'm thinking even with the ARB bumper and winch I had that wasn't enough weight, and that the extra weight of the skids actually made it ride better. So interested in if you felt any difference in ride quality.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I do think the truck rides better with a bit of weight in it, I didn't mind the ride of the E, I prob ran them around 34lbs. I did a trip from BC to Moab with the E rated KOs. This time I thought I would try the C and get a big jump in MPG but that didn't happen. Still around the 17 MPG combined.
Its pretty bad but I have the original sales tag from my truck and in 2013 they said it would get 29 mpg on the hwy. So much for truth in advertising. If your out in the bush lots then the E are good for peace of mind.

I like the looks of the TG Maxx and it's not all that heavy. Looks like it could get loud though.

Not worried much about highway noise on the rig they are going on, it sees short trips on the pavement but mostly tons of serious off-road back country runs for park maintenance. I'll try to get a quick drive in it once in a while to keep the review fresh.

Hmmmm. I find the poll results interesting. You don't see a whole lot of pics on TW of Tacomas on Durtracs, at least compared to the "bro-rated" Ko2's, but they seem to have more support at least from those answering this poll. Gotta think on this some more.

    The results are misleading.

    Are people voting Duratracs?
    Or they voting for C-load?

You cannot tell with your poll. I would vote for C-load but not duratracs.

Then don't vote. The poll is clearly between these exact two tires "if you had to choose". No other questions were asked. There is nothing misleading. I don't think anyone would vote for a tire they did not like. Some people obviously have an opinion between these two options, maybe you don't, and that's fine.

I did not vote. Misleading may not be the best word choice. I was referring to your comment about the surprise in popularity of the duratracs, and pointing out that it is just as likely the popularity in running a lighter C-load tire vs a 1 ton E-load tire. C-load tire is the all-round more appropriate tire for these trucks.

I see your point. My question arises because you can't get C-rated BFGs in that size, so it really is a question, on some level, of "is the Ko2 worth the negatives of running an E-rated tire". I am sure many more would purchase the K-bros if BFG ever figured out that the market wants them in a C-rating in this popular size.

I have been considering the Duratracs, or the BFGs, in 265/75/R16. So far I am surprised that people who have voted are supporting the Duratrac Choice. Makes me think they might be worth a try.

What about other c-rated tires, or have you decided for sure on the duratracs if you get something in load range c?

Falken Wildpeak AT3W's. I've owned Duratracs (D) and KO2's (E) and I'd take the Falkens.

No I am not sure of the Duratracs. I am open to other suggestions. I just narrowed the choices to two popular models, as if you ask "what's the best tire in Xxxx size?" you get a 100 different suggestions. I really wanted to find out what the support was for a good tire, with a lower load rating, compared to the ubiquitous Ko2s.

This brand doesn't seem to have a lot of support where I live in Canada. I will look into further.
