    That is the Chestnut Mountain Rd to Auger Hole Tr entrance. Also a great place for routine camping and access to the Foothills Trail for hiking.

    Chestnut Mountain Rd is fairly 2wd friendly except for one climb that might need a locker if 2wd. Not dissimilar from Horse Pasture Rd. Auger Hole Tr needs 4wd, especially past the river. It will take you to the NC/SC border, then stops at a gate that never opens at Duke property. :(

    At 2:15 in this video you can see the Jeeps pussy out from going further into Auger Hole Tr. You can also see where some pretty sweet camping spots on the river are, though. The rest of the video is pretty worthless. It's just Jeeps on a gravel road going rawr, we be Jeeps....
