The same shit everyone else has.
Posted this in the A/V thread, but there's so little traffic so Im posting this here....

I did a '14 touchscreen radio in my '11. It currently has the back up camera in the rear view mirror and I plan on leaving that camera there.

I would like to add a camera(s) to the '14 touch screen head unit.

Ive got the rear camera to head unit sorted out I believe, but I would would like to go a step further and add a front camera.

I want to be able to control both cameras anytime - for trail/parking purposes - but still have the rear camera come on as the default any time the truck is in reverse.

Iv found a DIY on how to accomplish this with 2 switches -

    - anytime switch & a front/rear switch, but I really dont want to add 2 switches if I can control this with a single switch.

I believe this diagram does what I want -

But Im not seeing it though?

Im kickin around the idea of adding a parking/proximity sensor to the front bumper and somehow incorporating it into the front camera to turn it on when the front bumper is within X"/X' of something.....

If I can find parking sensors that work how I want.

I came up with this after some brainstorming...

Looks good. signing up to see what you come up with. I have been thinking of doing something very similar. I added the anytime mod to the rear and based on how it was setup seemed that I could add a front camera and another switch as you have noted to select anytime and another to switch front or rear camera. Also wire it so they show up in the rear view mirror and the radio.

I like the idea of the sensors, only issues I would see if them going off while off roading. May have come on more than you want. Then again could also come up with a way to switch on and off. I have not sat down and detailed it out but your thinking similar to how I was.

Would be nice to see if you or one of us can come up with a way to do it with one switch.

I'm not really worried about the parking sensor. It can be added later if need be. I'm more concerned with sorting the front/rear/anytime with a single switch first.

I may tackle this project next week. Either this or heated mirrors, I just need to decide which is more important.

agreed, I would be very interested in a one switch mod. A buddy just added a front camera on a 3rd gen and the kit he bought I believe adds a regular button that would fit in the factory blanks for turning it on and off and I believe the setup does anytime as well. I would need to check with him.
