"Don't really get all the complaints about lack of power or the bad shifting pattern, I don't see it.
Drive a 2017 Expedition at work and my truck has better responsiveness and shifting than it does.
Hardly have to get on the gas and I'm rolling down the road at 90."

Come on now! A 2017 Expedition would have better responsiveness pulling a car hauler loaded with a third gen.
On some hills you will be lucky if you can get the third gen to 90 mph.

Yeah, I traded about 10 months ago. Been great so far. Been in the shop one time to have a windshield wiper fluid pump replaced. Must be a common problem because they had them in stock. Been smooth sailing other than that.

@NCMedic , I agree with you 100% about not understanding the complaints about lack of power and bad shifting. Just over 21k on mine and no complaints.
In 30 years, I have never owned a vehicle with an automatic transmission before this 3rd gen- after 18 months of ownership, I look forward to getting behind the wheel every time.

Good luck and welcome to TW. A really great forum, imo.

Most likely so, however I'm talking about rolling flat down the highway.
Expedition bogs down and the CEL flashes if you stomp the gas... we have to replace coils about every 40k. Of course they're getting driven in a manner I wouldn't drive my truck.

At least I'm down to 2 vehicles now so I don't feel so foolish.

No uber in the sticks though.
