Might be an earlier model. I don't see a grommet either. The temp gauge is on the other side or at least it is on my 14.5.

    Yes. 14.5" 18.5" 22" WSM

I'm also looking for an 18.5" WSM. I think it's a good size. 22" is huge!

For sure. I can get two on my tiny 14.5 if I get creative.

Can fit many rib racks in a 18.5, I use a metal rib rack to hold 3 on top grate. Can do 3 more on lower grate or some people roll the ribs, can fit many racks in that way. Get that thing, hell of a deal as long as it's all there. There's a therm on lid but you'll need a pit probe for accurate temps, the lid therm is about useless.

Yea I guess you go by the meat temp to check if it's done right ? Is there a "list" of meat temps floating around ?

You need two probes, one for temp at grate (pit temp) and one for meat temp. Can't use meat probe for ribs, too much bone. They're done when they bend at 90 degree angle when held with tongs from one end to middle.

I have Thermoworks Smoke for temps, look it up. Not cheapest but best IMO for home smoking. As far as meat temps, 205 for Brisket, 195 for pork butt is good guideline.

Keep pit temp between 225-250 is common.

@igno1tus , if you're looking to get into smoking that WSM is the holy grail at that price. It's one of the best smokers you can get. If that's an 18.5 they're 300 new. I almost think that's a 22 which is 400.

I have something like this and it works pretty good:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A...ds=Ivation&dpPl=1&dpID=413AQ1wdfEL&ref=plSrch

I gave my dad this one as a gift and he's a fan: dual probe one
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N9RVIH...t=&hvlocphy=9032290&hvtargid=pla-308798655829

This one uses your phone and an app and can graph the temps. I'll probably get one if mine dies.
