No need to lug the engine around... plus if cruising around 35/40, id rather not be in OD if i need to mash the gas for anything. Sometimes the trans seems to think before it kicks down. These seconds may matter.

I spent most my time in manuals and i just cant get around being ok with lugging the engine.

I noticed mine doing this also, I'd been wondering about it. Glad I'm not the only one and it seems to be a "normal" thing?

Got some info posted here regarding your 5 speed auto .
    Read and post back

Considering your transmission is completely computer controlled , there is a proper way to diagnose it .
You need a scanner to verify everything is working fine .
Everybody says your complaint is normal but they didnt test drive your truck .
Judging by your explanation , it may be normal , however , there can be issues with the engine that make it feel like a transmission problem .
Your accelerator pedal is drive by wire ......No cables to the throttle body from your gas pedal which creates some latency .
Run a diagnostic scan and post back
