Don't worry, if you get deep enough into the truck you'll go back and forth where you only have one of them running at a time. Ask me how I know...

Of course... Just a couple weeks before heading back to Moab and something expensive has to break again! Just a few days ago, when I put it in 4hi, the light in the gauge cluster didn't turn on. I heard a relay click near the passenger seat but nothing from under the truck. When I put it in 4lo, the gearing definitely changed so the transfer case seemed ok. I hopped under the truck and found the vacuum hose that is supposed to run to the ADD actuator just hanging out, disconnected. Unfortunately, the barb for it on the actuator broke off. So, a $300 part to fix a tiny bit of plastic... cool.

Well... I was hoping to be able to pull the actuator and drill/tap an NPT fitting into it but there's no room with all those electrical contacts in the way...

Also, while under the truck I noticed the shock dust guard disconnected from the top of the shock.

Well... While the truck is down, it gave me a reason to finally put the E30 back together so I can actually drive to work

Although, I did forget how much fun it is to drive... It just needs about another 100hp hahaha....

I got the new actuator in today. Boy that thing sucks to install without dropping a bunch of suspension and steering stuff. I also replaced the phillips head screws with some regular bolts to make it easier to take apart if I ever need to replace it again. The phillips head screws kept stripping on me.

All I need to do now is change out the fluid with some 75W90 Redline Synthetic. Woo! Back to wheeling!

Thanks man! It's just a D3100 with a 35mm f/1.8 that I've had forever now. I really need to upgrade to a full frame but I keep buying truck parts

Less than a week before I head out to Moab again via the Kokopelli Trail. Currently I'm making good progress on my to-do-list before the trip. Rotated my tires last night and buttoned up a few odds and ends today. Hopefully my sliders will be finished before the trip...

Change of plans. I was talking with my buddy who I was supposed to go on the trip with and we decided to delay it until October. That'll be nice. It'll be a lot cooler in Moab at that time and it'll give us time to finish up a few more projects.

    Annnddd.... here's a random pic

Damn, working on cars sucks. You actually have to jack them up on stands to do things underneath them. Trucks are so much cooler...

I keep going back and forth on 255/85 and 285/75... I can't decide. Either way I think I'm gonna do Cooper ST Maxx's.

I have the St Maxx. I like the skinny because of very minor rubbing, lighter, and better in the snow IMO

Went out to check out Democrat Mountain yesterday. Ended up being a pretty cool trail but we were kind of disappointed to find out that it didn't push all the way through to Georgetown.

I need more accessories to fill out all these switches... :anonymous:

But, I do have a pretty rad plan for a super cool electrical setup that I'm piecing together right now. I'm having to relearn a lot of EE/mechatronics stuff from college for it, though lol...
