4x4 option not working properly

My 07 Tacoma's 4x4 option has been barely working since my wheel bearings have been replaced. The flashing 4x4 option on the dash board won't stop flashing when I turn the dial to 4hi. Sometimes the front locks and other times it doesn't. Meantime the light dash keeps flashing. I found the only way to get it to lock is to turn the dial to 4hi while the truck is off then turn truck on. Only then will the 4hi lock. Then to get it out of 4hi I have to turn the truck off, turn the dial back to 2wheel and turn the truck back on. Since the truck won't register the 4hi I can't get it into 4low. Today I got stuck and had to try and get in 4hi and the dash light is flashing both 4x4 and 4low light at the same time really fast!?!? It took me a few tries but got out finally using the turn truck off and on method. Still no 4low option. Does anybody know what the heck is going on?

Finally figured it out a few months ago.. it was the front actuator. Picked one up on eBay for less than $200. Stoked. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
