    You can use a walkie-talkie. @WileECoyote can help with that.
    I have 2 worse case scenario.

    You can always use my preference
    Hand signals, horn and yelling!

    Sometime soon my work should pay off and I'll have more money to throw around. I'd like to keep my current tacoma as an aggressive DD with solid off-road capability, and in the future look to get a gen 1 or older gen 2 4wd, long travel it, and go to town off road.

    This is what is typically used by, I think it is safe to say, 99% of the guys that do trail riding!!!

    When I see you, I'll show you a few things about the radio.

    I HIGHLY ADVISE getting an aftermarket antenna like the Nagoya NA-717 or the NA-771. The 771 is sliiiiiiightly better, but realistically, you're not going to notice it!!! Plus, the long antenna is hard to deal with inside the cab. This is why I would recommend the shorter antenna.

    Also, when I see you, I'll explain a few other things as well. :thumbsup::fistbump:

    Like always, you MIGHT get a radio that needs programming to "open up the freq band"?! Some radios already came that way and some don't?! It's an easy process I hear, but still just know that may be the case. With that said, I would get the radio and worry about that after because you may NOT have to even worry about it? I'm just giving you a heads-up.

    Other than that, they really are nice radios for the price, for sure!!! :thumbsup::fistbump: I have +$300 HAM handhelds and I am very impressed with the Baofeng radios!!! :thumbsup::fistbump:

    I just clip mine in the kangaroo pocket on the back of the seat and use a hand mic that sits up front with me. Works well with the longer antenna.

    LMAO, I do something similar!!! :thumbsup::fistbump::cheers:

    I find most don't have a place to clip their radios to, so I don't even bother mentioning it anymore!!! I guess I should from now on?! :notsure::D:p

    Are you able to make this particular run as well?

    I have not finished it, but like it. Kinda scary sounding!!! The first thing that comes to my mind so far is the dog's reaction???!!! I want to skip to the end because I am so damn CURIOUS about the sound/rumbling, but afraid I'll miss some good reads.

    Thanks Jay. :thumbsup::fistbump:
