The symbol of the tire with an exclamation mark is tire pressure correct?
Is it true the spare tire can cause it? I have checked all 4 on the car to be equal and set at 30 PSI. Can't get the warning to reset. Followed the owner's manual, but stays on steady. Also tried to reboot with battery disconnect,... No joy.

If your truck is old enough it could be one of the sensors died. It usually blinks when you start up and then stays on solid when that happens.

Set it 4 psi higher, as they age they start to read wrong and like higher pressures I find. But it's also likely a sensor has failed, they have small batteries that eventually fail.

Of Course! Sensor or it's battery makes a lot of sense, Thanks. BTW,.... Just to prove it to myself, checked the spare and it has a rubber valve stem so not a factor.

You can bypass it if you're inclined. Did it on mine and nice to never worry about swapping sensors or resetting the light

What if I told you the answers to all your questions was located in a secret book in your glove compartment. It's a Toyota. If the light is flashing you got a problem. If it's steady on air up your tires and drive it. Light will go away

OP what year is your truck. In 09 they got rid of the 5 sensor in the spare... so if its 05-08 the low pressure light is coming from the spare if you have the rest filled properly.

A piece of duct tape pretty much fixes this problem

On some model years it reads the spare. My 07 does and adding air to my spare has turned the light off before in the past.

How much of a PSI drop triggers the warning light?

TPMS per federal spec's is suppose to activate with a 25% drop in pressure from last reset. IE - set at 32 pounds, a loss of 8 pounds should make it light up.
