Once again, some asshat that can't park for shit backed into my bumper and crushed my license plate cover and frame. I'm looking for either an extended skid plate or a bumper cover that will A) protect me more and/or B) scuff them when they hit me. I don't want or need a full bumper replacement or bull guard. I found one option, but don't know exactly what to search for to get better results. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just want to cover/replace this piece. (If it wasn't plastic, I would just powder coat it.)

This would be perfect if it was just the steel piece with no holes and no bar.

I don't know if that's the southern style offroad or not but they make one just like it, if you go on their website you can configure it with no bar and I believe delete any holes you want.

They do make those without the bar.

Unfortunately, you just missed a 25% off group buy for the SSO version. I opted for the bull bar, but it's not necessary ... and the bolts you see in the following picture are for the cover plate for the winch slot. It's too dark, but said cover reads "SSO". I plan to get a winch later, otherwise it would have been deleted.

Looks great. It sucks I missed out on the group buy. I'd get it without the bar. Blah...maybe next time I'll see the GB.

Edit: I see the group buy ended 3 months ago. Sucks, but at least I didn't miss it by just a few days or a week. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...slimline-hybrid-group-buy-summer-2017.494245/

They seem to have a group buy at least once a year if not twice. So just keep an eye out in 6-8 months to see if one comes up again.
