The tape might do the trick. It takes a long time to wear down. They use them in the mills around here.

oooo, that's nice. I need to get some sort of wiring organization before I start adding a bunch of crap.
I found a 1/8"x12"x12" sheet on Amazon I can cut up to work for $8! Should help a lot.

Go UHMW sliding on UHMW for best results. The drawer will still be heavy, but with a lot less friction.

I'm thinking I might just throw some Rubbermaid containers in there in the mean time.

I did that at first, and it's not worth it. The design of them sucks away a whole lot of space. With this one drawer that's less than half the length of the bed, I have more storage than I did with the rubbermaids. For another $70 in lumber you could build two bed length drawers. The kicker is the slides if you want them, because those aren't cheap. They can always be added later though.

I'm glad I mentioned it! I'll steer clear until I have the time to put in the work for a legit system.

I might put some cheap automotive carpet on the bottom of the drawers to see if that helps them slide.

Also trying to figure out what I can put on top of the wood so that's when I throw a deer back there it's doesn't stain it and stink it up. Any suggestions?

Hmmm. Maybe something designed for a deck? Then it'll be totally sealed from absorbing anything. And if there's some textured stuff, that'd be cool too to keep stuff from sliding around.

Yeah that would honestly be easier and less likely to get off track. Found the bearing idea searching ideas on a pvc bed platform...lol
