Shane, what's your schedule for Moab then? And what trails were you planning to hit. If I can tag along that would be awesome. I'd be more comfortable rolling some trails with you as I was with the same group last year. Plus it's nice to see a similar line by another DCLB.

To my knowledge Matt and Brad aren't going.

I'm in for making a group out of us solo guys.
If I'm solo im planning on at least doing top of the world, hells revenge, might try white rim too.

Still looking for suggestions for other trails to try that I can possible do solo with some moderate fun factor that won't give me too much trouble. As I do have to drive it home.

bull canyon to the bottom of Gemini bridges is fun and OK solo or at least i always do it solo. not hard but cool to see the bridges from below and then you can drive and see them from the top after that

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
White Rim has always been top of my list. Done TotW twice, I can pass on a third time. Metal Masher was one I wouldn' mind doing again. Haven' reviewed the trails enough to have a list yet this year...may just wing it.

I'd do Fins N Things over Hells Revenge if you're going to bypass Hells Gate and Escalator. Propbably the case if solo.

My current list in order of importance:

    Hells Revenge

The trifecta aka Poison spider mesa, golden spike and gold bar rim

    Cliffhanger

    Moab Rim

    Behind the Rocks

    Metal Masher

Coming from the East coast and not sure the next time I'll be back so want to make it count.

You can link those all together in a day

Dome plateau is always a favorite of mine for any easy day with some fun spots and great views

Polar mesa to Thompson canyon to onion creek is an easy day with a nice variety of terrain to pass through

Cameo cliffs is a nice route south of town

Gotta hit the ones I think I will hate myself if I don't experience. I'm most excited for cliffhanger I think at this point.

Everything on your list is pretty epic. Can't wait to see you complete this. As a cautionary note....do you have enough spare parts to get you home?

Hell's Gate, Escalator, and the hot tubs are are cool, the rest of it is pretty basic slickrock... I think Fins N Things is more fun if you're going to skip those obstacles on Hell's Revenge. Not a difficult trail, scenic and unique, you'll articulate your truck but not flip it or get body damage. It also has the option to dip out halfway, Hell's Revenge doesn't. The last hour of Hell's Revenge sucks. Rocky and bumpy, not slickrock, and it's a long trail in general.

No doubt that Hell's Revenge is a super fun trail and worth doing. The guy said he was going solo so he'd bypass the hard stuff on Hell's anyway. Just my opinion.

I did fins n things, top of the world, and hells revenge last time I was in Moab. If we end up making a group out of individuals I vote against repeating them. They were all great, I'd just like to try something new!

    I got this so far:

    IMG_7187.jpg
Full drive shaft, u joint, cv, 2wd kit in case I blow the front diff, spare otre's, spare inner. Will probably pick up another napa cv. Only spare I don't have is a third. :p Might bring another spare inner. And of course fluids, belts, etc etc. Trying to be as prepared as possible to be able to wheel hard and still drive home.

I have all of that too. Plus a serpentine belt and blower belt. I also picked up Ryan's old rear. I'm going to break that down so I'll have axles and a third.

With the FJ case and axle tube, I actually need two cut up axles if I break the fronf Diff.

Luckily (for me, not Jon) @stairgod blew two Napa CVs in TN last week. They will become my limp home kits.

I also have hub assemblies, coil packs, spark plugs, etc.

    It's a LONG way home...
