It’s been a few years, summer 2011, but I was looking for a used Tacoma and the best I could find was a 2 year old Tacoma with 90,000 miles for $23k. I said “screw that BS” and bought a brand new one for $25k and zero miles. No regrets. First new vehicle I’ve ever bought, and get this. I have a grand total of 33k miles on it, probably 90% of it on rough logging roads. Zero problems. Prices for used Tacos is ridiculous in my opinion, then again, I come from a time when you could buy a brand new car for under $5k.

I've noticed used Tacoma's get higher than KBB on the open market. Maybe that has something to do with the current price of the Tacoma, with them being nearly 40K OTD.

I picked up a 2009 SR5 4x4 double cab with 90k miles, about a 3 inch lift, 265/70r18 tires, 18 inch wheels, skid plate and leer shell for $18k last month. If the truck has everything you want then pull the trigger. It took me months of searching to find exactly what I wanted in a price range that was fair.

Just bumped into a Certified '15 TRD Sport 4dr long bed with about 5K miles for $30K firm.
It's like new, bone stock with an extended Toyota warranty on the drive train for 5yrs or 100K ....

Still awfully close to a '17 price wise and it's almost 3 years old !
