I haven't hit anything yet and hope I don't. But when I do, I think this thing will destroy what it hits. Full Steel Pelfreybilt.

You've got a better chance of your Duracraps popping than that bumper breaking

I love the way those hoopless bumpers look, but i think if you hit anything taller than your bumper, your headlights and grill could encounter a few problems.. looks superb though! If i didnt live in deer country, id buy a hoopless bumper or one with a one center baja hoop from pelfrey

Not sure I’ve seen a Road Armor on a Tacoma, but that’s great the situation worked out for you. People today just don’t pay attention when driving.

just bought one. I'm currently on a trip all over the South West and fix up my '06 while I'm down here. I bought this 06 dirt cheap after former owner T-boned a mule deer doing over 60 mph. Pretty much everything in front of the engine was crumbled in the center but the wheel wells and fenders were ok for the most part. With parts from Rockauto and some redneck bodywork I had this truck running for $2000 in parts (bought it for 2500)... will be slapping the bumper on during the next few days, need to buy a winch before install but it's too hot here in San Diego right now and so I hide in the shade enjoying cool beers.... back home it's snowing right now... this beer is tasting real good ....:p

Shrockworks may be one to add.
I saw it in the Bumpers thread...

    Greatly appreciate this thread...
I live in a high deer area.
Also, getting ready to retire & will be traveling to a lot of remote areas so looking at bumpers &/or armor to help me be able to keep driving/limping if I hit a deer or other smaller animal.

Interesting to note that Prelfreybilt had most votes, but most of the hits seem to be with ARB bumpers.

    Two questions:
Do you need to beef up front suspension if adding just adding the bumper?
How about if also all adding a winch?

    Thanks

Not sure on suspension. As im still not with bump. Thanks for the thread appriciation! Congratulations on retirement. Pelfrey is prettiest and arb has the crush cans so i think alot of people bought them to lessen actual chassis damage.

It is a good idea. Hanging 200lbs off the front of our trucks on stock suspension will make it sag and not perform as well.

Shit my 104 pounds of subs 50 to 70 lbs of box and 20 lbs of amps makes quite a difference, and thats all behind the front row.
