Here is another option that I just came across. I have a water can that I was thinking of mounting in the rear passenger corner under my bed cover. Sorry, no pics bc I haven't installed it yet...

 

I bought a locking smittybilt Jerrycan mount ($40) for my wavian can, then cut 4 pieces of flat iron and used 6 bolts and washers to lock to the bed rail. All in all $20 to mount smittybilt mount to the bed rail.

 

It's been 6 years so I think the OP figured something out but clean install on yours.

 

do you know if scepter cans will fit in the holder?

 

This is what I found on Amazon about it fitting Sceptor cans. Guy had to reshape top strap.

I appreciate it, I should just fab up some more for my truck, I made some for my 03 but had to mount them with bolts after drilling into the bed to mount the holders but I like how you utilized the bed rails and going to give it a go.
