A friend of mine HAD the JBL in his Limited (he has since traded in the Tacoma for a 4 Runner) - IMO the bass difference between this system and that one is not that huge. The biggest plus on this system is the sound quality/clarity. It is a much better sound quality system than the JBL with similar lows - albeit the response is a little more crisp on this system. It is all about what you are looking for. I wanted an OEM style setup with no "footprint", but for the $ you could build a "better" system IMO but would need a custom box while losing some interior space and/or having to customize/cut the door panels for a "better" component setup.

I've stated numerous times that I've had custom setups in several vehicles before including in my prior 2009 Tacoma and I'm 100% happy with the OEM+ system and have no regrets with the purchase, however I do feel that I paid a premium for the "OEM" plug & play style setup.

we have a really nice powered subwoofer that doesnt take up a ton of space. Im just waiting on a TW user for his review :) This is purely based on the JBL space difference and integration availability for comparison sake. Better yet, it also fits under the driver seat!
