I am aware of carb heat on planes only vaguely from AP classes years ago , worked jets so they used heat from the engines but not for fuel mainly or deicing.

a trick for storing gas engines, run the gas out, the pour in a half quart of 50:1 2cycle mixed gas (most weedeaters, enough to make the engine run for a few minutes )

run it till it quits, then re do this every 6 months if not used

Walk around your house everything you wish to run find the volts and amps requirement . Multiply volts times amps and you get wattage HOWEVER, a lot of things start at one wattage or amperage and run at a lower one so you have to add some fudge factor there is a sparky around here some where @MoneyMan55 I imagine if he is a mind to he can direct you on where to find the info to do your calculations.

its more common at altitude but can happen ground level too,air cooled VWs with dual carbs and no heat boxes were good for this in cold climates

How much will be needed for the AED while trying to provide enough power for the AC unit lol :} I do not know house AC but rv AC units have a soft start kit some as an add on and some built in to be able to operate with out letting the magic smoke out of the expensive little pieces of silicone and plastic etc lol

...how much power do you want?

Solar is nice. Our bill is consistently at least 1/2 to 2/3 cheaper than the people I know around here that are just on grid power.

One of the big things I keep hearing about solar is the initial cost of installation and the ROI of the cost and the homeowners life span .. IE if your 60 and install it you might not realize the savings before it is in your estate settlement:{ Well it has changed somewhat I recall it was 10 plus years before now it is lower apparently http://news.energysage.com/understanding-your-solar-panel-payback-period/

My house came with it. It's one of those funky lease things. I don't pay anything for it and I don't get any of the "money" for the power sold back. But I do get all the savings from what we use. but will own it in 20 years. I'm pretty sure the developer gets any of the sell back. I'm sure it probably is more than that. There has to be some other sort of kickback they get. But my bill is cheaper, so that's all I care about.

First wild boar I shot was in Oahu back in the late 70's. Shipmate from LA married a Local and they were caretakers of a gravel pit next to a sugar cane plantation. The boar would come out in the evening and tear up the cane and everything else. He found out I hunted and handed me a 20 ga. single shot H&R shotgun and 2 slugs. It took both slugs the second he was pretty much on top of me. They cooked him on the beach in the sand after building a fire and putting coals under and over it. The ladies all got together and cleaned it and stuffed it with local herbs. I don't recall much more after those herbs they stuffed it with...
