So I'm having trouble with my fog lights. I did the 2x3 led pod conversion with plug and play harness a few months ago, and everything has been great so far. Recently, the illumination light in the fog switch went out, but there were no other issues. Today when I turned my lights on, I had no fog lights even with the button depressed (on). If I turn all the lights off, leave the button depressed, then switch the headlights on, the fog lights turn on for <1 second then go out. With headlights on, operating the switch for the fogs does nothing. So my question I guess is should I replace the switch assembly as a whole? All connections seem good and clean and all fuses are intact. Any help would be appreciated

So you used a new wiring harness? Or did you splice into your factory wiring somehow? If you didn't splice into the wiring, then the headlights should have no effect on your new fogs. You'll either have a bad switch or a loose connection somewhere. I'd start there before taking anything apart or ordering new parts. I'd say start at the switch connections.

I didn't splice, I used a plug and play harness. I took the switch out and cleaned it just now but that didn't help, I will go through the wiring between the factory harness and the lights themselves and clean things up then see what happens

Separate your connections on the back of the switch and touch your positive and neg wires together. If the lights work, you have a bad switch. If the same problem persists, then you have a bad connection elsewhere.
