Hey guys, I maybe beating a dead horse here. But just call and the local Toyota Dealer had the recall listed/attached to my Vin. Scheduled an appointment tomorrow at 8am, but waiting to hear back from my buddies dealership to see if they could fit me in there. The lady over the phone this morning stated the computer showed it was for 05-10 Tacoma's

Yes, Toyota has many recalls right now and the remedy for yours is a underbody corrosion spray that will be paid for by Toyota. I work at a shop and we are getting the emails from Toyota of North America to get in contact with these owners and get them in so the warranty issues can be fixed...

They didn't do a corrosion spray on mine, just inspected and made sure it didn't need replaced... should I ask about this corrosion spray?

I had the same experience. I never received a post card from Toyota so I called and set up an appointment for the frame inspection. It passed inspection and was handed my keys. I asked about the corrosion spray and the tech told me Toyota is not set up yet to start doing that. He told me I should be notified when that occurs now that my vehicle is in their system.

I live in Hawaii and have a 2006 Tacoma. Took my truck in a few months ago and had them do a frame inspection back then. Got the paperwork that it failed and kept the paper as proof in case they tried to lie later about it. Anywho, got called back a month or two later, which was actually 2 weeks ago, for the lead spring replacement. I had the funniest laugh when they called and said that there was too much corossion to even replace the rear leaf springs. Needless to say, they snapped pictures and hopefully they send my truck straight to the frame replacement. Never thought a 11 year old truck could ever look as rotten as a 30 year old one. It's to the point where my skidplate rests on a crossbar. That whole part is hollowed out and half of it actually rusted off.
Leave it to a Toyota maintenance guy to say " your truck didn't get its leafs replaced because of all the corossion. We need authorization from Toyota that they will replace anything that breaks along the way. Don't worry though, your truck is still perfectly fine to drive"

I just found two holes in my frame so I took my 2006 Tacoma to the dealer and politely asked them to look it up. They said it expired after 10 years. Should I try a different stealer? My door sticker says manufactured 5/16, according to the "website" it says 12 years. Any advice? Please help , in San Diego area!

Ask them if they received this last month. It's a screenshot but the whole thing is available and if need, I have a copy of it.
Tell them you don't appreciate being lied to and call the law firm that's taking care of this class action. inform them what the toyota dealer told you. It's what I did.

Let them know that is a extended warranty campaign ZH6, talk directly to a manager not those service advisors. Don't try another dealer make them work, if they give you a hard time call Toyota corp and explain the situation. Corp will call the dealer and they will have you in a rental in a matter of hours. I have a 2006 too.

    Thanks bros.
I went back with shit in hand and they told me to kick rocks again. Told me they'd call me when they found something out. I knew I could still pull the service manager card, even though he would recognize me. Decided to study the pdf very patiently while standing out front. They came back and told me they were getting approvals to inspect it. I wasn't thoroughly convinced yet that they hadn't seen one yet. The warranty manager and the writer had a serious pow wow. I would of ran out of smoke for that peace pipe.
Anywho they still weren't clear about the difference between the limited service campaign (Corrosive rust compound) and the warranty enhancement program. I know, reading is hard. With all the references to cold weather states the wording can get a little funky.
They inspecting it right now. I put pink ribbon around my new orifices, drivers side cab to frame mount. I am still scared to gods they wont find em.

They got me in rental. Said they never seen a damaged frame, until today. Things are looking good. Now to wait and see what Toyota says. My truck is bone stock.

Good job, I can't imagine the manager not knowing about it. Glad the file helped you down the right path. Now, there was a limited service campaign ended last year in which if the truck passed frame inspection, they sprayed your undercarriage with the anti-corrosion. However, even if you had the spray and failed the frame test this go around, you'd still get a replacement frame. If it passed and you didn't have the anti-corrosion the last time, you'd get the spray this time.

If you are in a rental Toyota Corp will approve for sure. They just want to make sure the truck did not get a frame in the previous camping. Now enjoy your rentals for 2 months haha

If you guys don't mind me asking, what part of the states you guys in. Just curious cause I'm in Hawaii and wondering if the campaign will start later for us here than other parts of the states.
