Man I've tried this 3 times and can't get it to work.

Just noticed I had 'DisplayOffImage' with a lower-case 'i' for Image. Going to try again.

Has anyone mentioned how ridiculous this is in 2017 to have to work within such restricted guidelines just to load images to a head unit?

Just can't seem to get it to work... everyone has different opinions on what size it should be, but it says it can't find any compatible images. I watched the YouTube and made sure the file and folder names are accurate.

I'll try a different USB stick, maybe that will do it.

Ok, now it is working, don't think the file size really matters all that much...

Erased all files from the USB. Reformatted the USB. Reloaded the folders and files... good to go

No matter what I try I cannot get it to detect any images on the drive. I have labeled the folders as everyone has stated and made sure all files are in JPEG format. It still refuses to detect them...

My truck finally recognized the USB Drive after erasing it and reformatting it to MS-DOS (FAT). Then I followed the OP instructions and it worked like a charm. Thanks!

My first mod. great thread. mine worked flawlessly on the first try. to reiterate what was said a few pages back:

Format a USB drive to a Fat32 Format.
create two folders on the USB drive called: DisplayOffImage and StartupImage - capitalized letters and all...
have three images in each folder. Images should be 800 x 460 for best display results. Follow the instructions as stated many times in this thread, or in the Manual...

now if i could figure out how to link images here i could show you my start & off images... ill go read more on newb threads and report back... :)

First, are you able to get the image to your headunit? if not, check the folder names for accuracy... and be sure youre using JPG's and not other file types maybe...?

If you do get an image uploaded you need to hit "Screen Off" from the options gear once it's all uploaded and backed out of the options. it doesnt show up until you turn the truck off, or you shut the screen off.

Triple checked folders, and yes using jpeg, I can get the start up picture just not the screen off picture to work. It won't even load onto the taco

that sucks. maybe try one of the startup images that you know the truck likes, see if you can get that into the "Shut Off Image" upload screen? sorry if im not much help.
I can go out to the rig and confirm all the steps if you need.
