Then it would cover up other, more important warning lights.

Conchehocken rail transfer will take them for $5 a piece. You can drop it at Gray Man Fab and I'll take it with my next run if you want.

    Yeah. Checked everything.

Inverter coolant level is good. Checked coolant temp after short hops and long hauls. Temp has been consistently good.

My neighbor, former Toyota Master Mechanic/Technician, now millionaire, plugged in his laptop / TechStream and got a "B1503" Code. "Exhaust Heat Management Warning Detected"

He thinks that there's an issue with the warning light or the connection to the warning light. Suggested that I go to stealership to get it further diagnosed and fixed.

Stealership wanted over 300 bucks just to diagnose. With no guarantees that they'll find the issue during the diagnostic process. Plus the possible huge cost to fix.

So I've been monitoring inverter temp for months now. No issue.

My wife drives the Prius 99% of the time and the light never bothers her. The 1% of time that I drive it, my brain just thinks there's a immediate problem. Hence the black electrical tape fix.

Get her a fire extinguisher, and tell her to get out fast if she smells smoke :)

Or up her life as insurance.

There are over a dozen fire extinguishers in our household and vehicles. So that's covered.

Wife will live forever. She's doing a 1.5x marathon next month. (39 plus miles)

I, on the other hand, am worth more dead than alive. The wife always made sure my insurance premiums are paid up. LOL.
