Took me 18 hrs from Fort Lauderdale to the boarder, 30hrs to alabama, driving stick on the turnpike doing 20mph is brutal for long periods.

Got home yesterday and thank god the house is ok. Neighbor fell off a tree and broke 5 ribs and hit his head. Dayum. :(

Hope all you guys turned out ok.

Glad your house was good OP. Also glad you managed to (and actually evac'd instead of riding it out) make it out of there despite the shitty traffic

Hunkered down in Clearwater, and put the truck in the garage :) .. Two trees fell without damaging the house and had power restored after 48 hours. I am very thankful because I know that I'm definitely one of the lucky ones. This storm was brutal.

Thats part of it but also the turnpike, there was a massive line to get fuel and it spilled into the highway so now your evac highway is now one lane.
