If you are setting up a tent anyway, why would you want to have to completely unload your bed every time. Bed tents are stupid

I received an email from Dick's, that my shipment is on the way! So, good deal!

You have a point there. Maybe that wasn't the best idea, but I always wanted to try that. At regular price $200 ish or so for tents like that, it was just too expensive.

It's not bad at all. I'm 5'10" 200ish fat fu.... err guy. I had a bunch of recovery/camping gear (with traction boards and water tank taking up way too much space) in the bed, and had space for self inflating mat for myself and few more inches for my dog (he ended up in my sleeping bag regardless...). So with empty bed, it'll be just fine for 2 people under 6' 6" ( I'm talking about short bed here). I didn't check the height, but it's easily approximately 4' at the peak.

So, what's for sure, those tents are not for everyone. I enjoyed it myself (with our dog), but since I want to drag my family with me as well, this tent will not suffice.
RTT is out of the question for me $$ wise, I'll have to settle for a large ground tent, so we all would fit. Because of that, I'm trying to figure out if I should keep it, or sell it. We'll see.

Have been using mine for two years, love it! bought a canopy now, but I am keeping it. It is very nice to have during the hot summer months

@BastekFX did you end up keeping it or selling the tent? I'd be interested in buying it.

Have you checked Craigslist for pop up campers? Now's the time of year ppl are offloading them cheap.

Against my better judgment I just did... lol. Some prices of the campers in my area, are really reasonable. Not getting one this year, though. We'll try tent camping next summer, and we'll take it from there. Thanks
