Don't fuck with brakes. Bleed them all. Sometimes it could be a bitch. It took me 2 days of bleeding and letting gravity do the trick for my motorcycle. I had all new master cylinder, stainless braided lines, and I rebuilt the calipers. Total pain in the ass and the lines were at most 2 feet long.

Just put a vacuum cap over the end of the line when you unscrew it. Swap the line. Bleed that caliper only. No need to do all four corners unless you let so much fluid drain out that air gets into the ABS module.

I've read that too much air in the line it will get up to the abs module and seriously fuck it up.

ive read that if the ABS module gets too low in brake fluid, it seriously fucks it up

Well, I be doing this little brake project tonight after dinner and dessert.

    New line will be ready.

Yes. P/N 47318-04150 (Drivers side front)

    Pan at the ready.

I try the easiest first. This is it.

The good news: I saved the vacuum cap that you suggested awhile back.
The bad news: I saved it with my new brake line. I can't find 'em.
    EDIT: Found

Apparently you two are agreeing: Air present in the system equals no brake fluid in same system.
To mitigate this, I've added a lot more brake fluid.

Another thing I learned. Thanks TW!

Got to use my fancy flex head flare nut wrench (didn't really need the flex part.)

Bled the brakes, using Nick's (@Crom ) handy writeup.
    IMG_1060.jpg

Initial drive/brake testing gives all indications that I did this correctly.

Yeah. Michelin LTX's are quieter, lighter and are good in snow/ice

That's not good. I love my ST Maxx's, so want to save them as much as possible for off road terrain. They will wear down pretty quick as a daily driver in hard pavement.

After the leader hose you can use regular air hose to get to the tank.

I believe the twin has a built in check valve. I have an external one in my set up. Can't hurt to have two.
