I've been trying for days to lock my credit at all three places. None of them work. It just tells me either they can't verify who I say I am or a generic error message. One of them says I have to send copies of a bunch of stuff through the mail.

I'm guessing they are overwhelmed but it's crap. All that info stolen and I can't do anything to stop potential fuckery. It's BS that all our information is concentrated into 3 credit bureaus, information that can wreck havoc on people's lives. There should be mechanisms in place to lock credit for events like this (data breach over the internet is not a new thing). I'm going to try again in the middle of the night and hope the traffic will be less.

I have a good friend that works as a nurse practitioner at a small town emergency room. And by good friend I mean that kind of friend that totally gets you and you get them and no topic of conversation is out of bounds. And believe me if you show up in the emergency room with something really weird the staff will talk about you. The stories, oh dear lord there is a reason I couldn't be in the medical profession.

Oh, and its totally wrong, yeah completely wrong.

 

1. They need to name the doctors involved. I don't want to have that kind of person treating me, I need to know their background.

2. Shit like that has been going on for ages-minus the photos before cellphones. Shitbag was in a coma after kid napping his GF and their child. Crashed, killed the GF and hospitalized himself and the kid. Dude had 25/7 LE sitting with him in case he came to to arrest him.

Nurse came in to treat his wounds and was startled by a tattoo. Of eyeballs. On the head of his penis. She called several others in to see.

 

Yeah, I've been working in and around hospitals for about 25 years. I know those stories. They may be "medical professionals ", but they're still people. And you know people;

 

I unfroze my accounts last fall to buy our new place. Never got around to refereeing. Lucky for me, I already had accounts with all three... took less than 10min tonight to get them back in the chiller.

Wife's number was not part of the breach, still froze her accounts.

I wish they would have a way to freeze my kids (3yo and 9mo) so someone doesn't get a Hyundai shot box in a 3yo name.... is it bad that that was a joke, but I see it happening?!?!?


Any time you leave yourself open to benign out of the ordinary, you risk someone wanting to share with others.

Lining up the staff to walk through to see my junk, sure, take a look.. photos on your phone violates HIPAA.. good luck defending that one.
