i have a 2016 Tacoma 4 wheel drive. This is what is wrong-
Out of nowhere, the truck started turning to the right. No pop or anything. When we cut the wheel when it's jacked up the tire spins only on the drivers side. Maybe something with the steering rack? Inner and outer tie rods are intact and tight, working as they should. What's wrong???

Can you give a better description of the problem? Sounds like the front right tire is jammed up when it's off the ground & spun by hand?

When jacked up and cutting the steering wheel, it's goes left to right along with the tire and cvs spinning at the same pace as the wheel turning. It's dark now, wish I had taken pics

Or severely bent the tie rod. Op I doubt the steering rack is the problem. Any weird noises?

Is it possible the brakes have seized on that side?

This is my first use of this one, but this thread seems worthy.

    Reserected from the dead.

That was my 1st thought as well. A collapsed break line will act like a check valve, not allowing the caliper to release the pressure on the pistons. If this was the case, there would likely be a brake dash light lit up-especially on a '16.

OK, so your right front wheel is stuck, are you in 4x4 or crawl control? if so, go back to 2wd and see if that solves the problem. If your not using the 4x4 then it's probably a stuck brake, call the dealer, have them pick you up.

A broken CV joint on the left side would cause a pull to the right under acceleration....but only in 4 wheel drive

A dealer is going to retrieve from a trail?

    My 50 cents say no.

I think OP is trying to say that when they lift the truck and turn the steering wheel, only the driver's side moves with the input?
