As far as keeping the sway bar on...what has every one done for the sway bar end links? Seems like the factory length ones don't like to fit that very good at that length due to the lift. Suggestions? I've got some from oreillys that I'm looking to put on so I don't eat threw these new CV's.

I think allpro has extended sway bar links.
I took mine off and recycled it.

I've been driving with it disconnected since I installed my lift....it's been about 6 months. Maybe I'll just completely remove it.

It will just make your 2 front tires move together off road with it on. If you are super loaded down and have major body roll it would help on road.

I haven't read through this whole thread but saw a few people ask about 880's on Bilstein 4600's, any one have experience with this combination? I replaced with 4600's all around not too long ago since I'm not aiming for a lift but my coils are pretty much done and I don't want to replace with toyota coils that are around 200 each.

Did you try the search function. It is quiet a popular thought that you have. The search would yeild pros, cons, and before after feed back that could be more pertinent.

Yea, I did, actually. I have seen a lot of the same question, and people suggesting to look at 880s but haven't had much luck finding feedback on using them together. Maybe I'm not searching the right words. I called up headstrong and wheeler's today and neither of them said they have tested using 4600's and said I should get 5100's or OME if I want to use 880 coils. This seemed like a relevant question to this thread, if you have a particular thread in mind where you have found that info, a link is welcome.

I did have a link, but cant remeber the key words i found it by. I find the search to be a pita personally. I have done alot of re search on shock length ext and comp various brands valving ect. With our gvw stock and the 880 you should be fine with the shock length of the oem bilstiens. If you add a trim packer you will run into issues. I would step up to the sports though. Due to the soft ride you will have with 880 causing exsesive travel and valving of the 4600. I am assuming it will fatigue and over work the 4600. If you are just looking for a better street ride you should be ok. I wish i had the time to test it as dbcb info is limited in that area. Buy some take offs for .01$ and see if you like the ride. That would be my path.

Is anybody here running 883s and Dakars with 265/75r16 tires? Curious what it would look like

Still interested if you happen to come across any links, thanks. I don't have all the time to look at this but haven't been able to find much difference between these Bilsteins except the adjustable perch for the spring. I've read a lot of subjective stuff about the valving like the 5100's are stiffer, someone else says the 4600's are stiffer, but no solid info to go off of. Not trying to thread jack, I still want to know if anyone has any experience with 4600's and 880 coils also since the spring rate seems pretty close to the stock TRD coils that came on these trucks.

You can find the shock length " on the manf. Sites if i remember right 4600s are a half inch shorter then the 5100s and ome. But if you dont need the full ext cause you sit lower from more weight. The drop is what you are limiting, i will send it to you tomorrow if i find my notes.

Need tires sooner than I'll probably be lifted. Also concerned about weight due to having a 4cyl. Most 285s are in the 60lb a tire range.

I was...now i have 285s. They started to look small to me, plus $330 for 4 new tires I couldn't say no.

Alright I have read through about 80 pages of this thread, none the less I still have taco newb questions. I have a 96 single cab, manual hubs, 4x4 with the 2.7. My stock suspension is toast, I have only had the truck for about 6 months and am trying to replace things as i come to them, but i cant put off suspension much longer. Not looking for a huge lift, I dont really do a ton of wheeling, just looking to smooth out the ride over those gnarly national forest roads. Not planning to add any armor to the front and not really planning to use a topper. The set up that seems to fit my needs would be; nitrochargers all around, 881s up front and the standard dakar leaf pack. That set up should be close to level correct? Dont mind and probably prefer the back being a touch higher for those occasional random bed loads. I guess the biggest questions ,do i need a diff drop and ucas?

I think that will be about right for you. You'll probably have some rake. I would say no to both the diff drop and the control arms. The usefulness of the diff drop is pretty highly debated. I'll let you do your own research there. My truck aligned surprising well with 881 coils and stock control arms. Good luck.
