    As soon as I purchase it I'm putting a 6" with 35's
I lost my truck in the flood in Texas I was rescuing some people and the water got too swift and I lost it , the rest is history ! It was a 2015 LTZ duramax so I'm going to a smaller truck this time and I'm about to buy my first Tacoma ! I found a 2016 with 365 miles on it on the used lot bad part is the warranty kicked off when it sold the first time so it won't have much left and it has 34,500 on the window I'm sure I can get them down to a pretty good price !! OR I could buy a new one for around 37 so here's the kicker as soon as I get it it's getting a 6" lift and 35's ! Have y'all had luck getting the service departments to look over your lift and modifications or is it gonna straight up void the warranty ??? Any help is greatly appreciated !!!!! VERY CONFUSED and need advice !!!

A lift and tires shouldn't void the warranty.

6" involves cutting the frame so it does void some warranties, it's a major change for the trucks.

Often the best course of action to "help" getting warranty is to get the dealership to install the lift. They are much more likely to look past the lift and approve the warranty. Loyalty goes a long way with most manufacturers.

Brace yourself for a sluggish ride, 35" tires on a 3.5 V6 doesn't feel anywhere close as torquey as your duramax did!

Just my 2 cents... I'd compare interest rate, years financed, and monthly payment between the 2016 vs 2017. Toyota has a low rate right now.

The tires will not void the warranty, my dealer will sell you aftermarket wheels + tires. Like the others said, the lift might be a little "iffy", unless the dealer installs it.

Good luck, and sorry to hear about your duramax!

This is what I would love to do but if the 35's are gonna be too heavy and kill the fuel mileage completely then I may go with 33's !!

There's good info on here about the 2016 & 2017. I'd check into the tranny talk, and weigh out it all out!

I'd love to buy a 2017 @ the current interest rate.

Thanks I'll do that , I'm in a terrible bind for a vehicle so I'm kinda running out of time but either way I can put a very small lift wth some wheels and tires to start and not void the warranty and get a little "CUSTOM" look going !!!

There's a 2016 issue on "some", where the tranny shifts searching for the right gear. Apparently this was resolved on models produced after May 2017. There a lot of info about it. This is the very short "Clif-noted" version. Good luck
