I do! Great parts imo! But can't tell about the leaf springs... Hope they fit! If not... Make it happen haha!

Crappy weekend so I stayed in town and started some much need work on the Tacoma. I needed tires in the worst kind of way, I have had them bought and paid for back in the fall, I did not want to put them on without a front end alignment. To do the alignment I wanted to fix the lower ball joints as they have dry rotted boots and are puking grease. One of my cv axel boots were also puking so I decided to fix that while I was in there. To top it all off what not install the lift. Started with a stock height measurement at each Corner. IMG_3621.jpg IMG_3622.jpg IMG_3623.jpg IMG_3625.jpg

Due to a well worn seal for the diff I decided to not risk it and install new ones. All the local parts stores are closed and Monday is a holiday so I will have to get two on Tuesday fix after work, tires and alignment on Wednesday

A before picture of the truck with a AAL in the rear and STOCK TRD shocks and springs notice how stuffed the tire is in the fender

If anyone is reading this and thinking about doing this lift I wish i had done this when i first bought the truck ... well worth the $

So let's try this the hard way

The truck was only 1/2 put back together as I decided to new cv axel seals in and had to wait for them to come in air from Toyota.

So I was doing this after work with my good work clothes on as I forgot my dirty clothes at home, and apparently one glove. This is not off to a good start.

The seal drivers seal went in ok as I found a pipe fitting that worked as a instlation tool.
While I was installing seal with it half in I was interpreted at least 10 times and laid the special service tool down never to be found again. IMG_3675.jpgIMG_3674.jpgIMG_3673.jpg

Spent 45 min looking for service tool no luck moving on found a slightly bigger pipe finished install, it is flush all the way around except on the top where it sticks out 1/16. I am going to take my chances as if I do anything else I risk hurting the seal. Got the new cv axel into position and tried to get it in past the snap ring retaining clip and no sir..... tried 4 times frustrated, hungry, and tired I put the ball joint back in and went home.

This may help with the snap ring unless I'm misunderstanding something:

    Thanks for the video !

    Lots of excellent information

I was having a issue getting the new cv axels in the diff due to the keeper snap rings. I was trying to cheat and do it without taking the shock off. Once the shock was out of the way I could align the axel straight and give the end a light tap with a hammer and it poped right in.

Trying to do it with the shock still installed put it at a slight angle and I also did not the power of the sudden blow to compress the ring to get into the grove.

    Thanks for looking :)

As far as i know the diff mod will also work with second gen trucks. My rear axle seals were leaking every time i went over the highway, I would take the plug out to check the rear diff fluid and there was allays built up pressure in the rear end, i decided to do the breather diff mod and no more pressure or leaking !!!!

So weirdness ..... stoped in to get pizza and I came out and the horn was going off. I started the truck and it went off. Drove home started eating the pizza and ffs horn started again starting the truck did not solve it, pressing the centre of the steering wheel did not solve it, had to pull the fuse so I could finish my pie :)

No aftermarket or oem remote starter, door lock or anti theft in this truck.

    Thoughts ?

Super deluxe pizza with extra banana peppers if anyone was wondering

    Pizza:drool:

Maybe a bad relay:notsure: i am not the best in vehicle electrical but I would start troubleshooting with relays and connections, and then finish by cutting the horn wire so it don't go off while I sleep lol

IMG_5509.jpg Had a flat over the weekend :( put a temporary repair in it rope plug. Took it to a tire shop this morning to get it fixed properly. Noticed my rear springs look rather straight .... they were new when the frame was replaced .....

I think they are mostly flat for everyone lol mine are starting to curve on the wrong way tho... you may be good to find a overload for it? Or maybe get them recurved?
