    @Fernando

    Heading to your summer home tomorrow morning through Sunday. An old friend of mine and I (and probably one of my dogs) are going for one last camping trip before it gets too cold. Hopefully, I'll be there early enough to grab the secret spot. Probably just drink and tells lies, and maybe do a little fishing on Saturday. Might try Signal Peak again since I couldn't get passed the snow drifts last time.

    Feel free to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. I'll have a cold one waiting for you. That's goes for anyone else.

    Website still says it's closed, but that was from April. Didn't find any recent info. I would think it's fixed by now.

    You can call the Yuba River Ranger District at (530) 288-3231 to find out.

    If it's closed, you can go through Graniteville. Interesting little town to drive through. Not sure I'd want to break down there.

    Thinking of putting together a Thanksgiving weekend camping trip. Leave hella early Thursday morning and return Sunday. Thinking of the Downieville area, lots of recreational activities available, in addition to some great wheeling opportunities, fishing, mountain biking, kayaking, prospecting...Nice campsites available along rivers and lakes. We'll do a potluck Thanksgiving afternoon after setting up camp.

    I'm open to other suggestions as well, Eagle lakes, Mendocino, Slick Rock, Mojave..as long as it's out of the Bay area (that includes Frank Raines, and Hollister), and not snowing.

    If you're gonna drive to Mojave you might as well just drive to Ensenada.

    Then I'll need passport and Mexico Insurance, and all the extra travel time to get through LA and San Diego. If anyone else is interested I might be persuaded, but don't want to drive solo into Mexico.
