Well i might have a rear wheel bearing go out in my truck, and my extended warranty covers "Axle Bearings".....not wheel bearings...

I am trying to get a definite answer from the warranty company before i take it anywhere first. The rear wheel/axle bearings are pressed onto the axle shaft itself and used on the axle, this in my mind would make that they are axle bearings......

Has anyone gone through this before in the semantics argument of axle vs wheel bearings?

Google...axle bearings vs. wheel bearings and you see:

Things also vary depending on which wheels are drive wheels and which are not. ... Bearing assemblies on front or rear non-driven axles are correctly termed "wheel bearings", and they mount between a wheel hub and a simple spindle shaft. An all-wheel-drive vehicle would have four axle bearings
