    Yes, those are pineapples. We have a tropical theme in the house - nothing crazy or to tacky. We thought these would be fun.

    As far as the shelves go, they are unfinished. We had some shelves come with the cabinet but we needed more. You can buy them pre-made for $$$$$, or you buy the melamine in a 4x8 sheet and cut them to size. The top and bottom are finished, however you have to cover the cut ends. They sell an adhesive tape you iron on. Same result as the premade but it saves a lot of money and you cut them to the exact size. BTW - the cabinet still has to be painted and the upper doors glassed in. We just have so many things going on right now we figured we would use them now and get to the finishing later.

    Shouldn't be a problem. My GF just moved in. We have 5 vacuums (not including my shop vac), 3 blenders, more towels/sheets/blankets we can count and 3 irons. We have redundancy...

    Got some more done today. Sealed the granite in the kitchen then onto the bathroom. I got the vanity faucets installed with just a bit of issue. The outside faucet handles are located over a plywood support wall. I had to do a little "adjusting" with a saw and drill...

    The small in-wall replacement cabinet arrived (first one was too big) so it went in and I wired for power. Lastly the vanity lights were installed. My GF picked them out and they look good. 3 lights = 6 light bulbs. When she showed them to me my 1 stipulation was they had to be on a dimmer switch. Between these on full blast and the recessed lights it's like high noon in Phoenix in July!

    Tomorrow I'm going to glue up the sink drain then connect the faucets to the water supply.

    A old forester told me to put sticks as close to the end as you possibly can when drying wood. It will keep the boards from checking.

    Nice wood ;)

    Replace the belt sander with a crockpot. I use one to melt old candles to make fire starters with my jointer shavings. Apparently the one in the kitchen is "off limits".

    Good to know.....now I have to deal with my fastening problem. They are going on my basement wall. I want it to look like it was hung years ago. Thinking pre-drill and use cut nails. Just afraid the wood it going to move around too much as it shrinks. Anyone have thoughts?
