Has anyone heard an estimate from Toyota on getting the crank position sensor fix available? My truck idles like a cold diesel all the time, and threatens to stall out on cold mornings.

So call my dealer and get on their RADAR so they will get me fixed up as soon as they can?

No, I did not. I see it on the Toyota Owners website for my truck.

Yes, just call the dealer and take it in. If you're on the list you should be OK - and I'd call BS on backorder b/c folks have been ordering these parts direct on their own without an issue. Good you're on the list - I had the same problems you state but my truck has no recall associated so I self installed... Good luck! it WILL make a difference

Check your VIN. I got mine done a few weeks ago. Took my dealer a week or so to get parts.

So sorry, wasn't trying to call you out! :( But from what I've seen recently I haven't heard a lot of folks complaining about wait times for the sensor through either the dealers or 3rd party parts dealers. I think the OP will get his part replaced in short order, hopefully!

I go in on Tuesday of next week for replacement. Not sure what all they plan to do, but they said three hours to replace it. It's a ten minute job on most cars .... do they do a lot of other retuning of the computer or ????
