Where do you get the red boots and the clips for these? I need to rebuild my CV axles (1st Gen) for a "spare" as I already got "new" ones from the auto parts store. I just like the red boots- those are pretty sweet. I'll be doing the "boot mod" for my lift and I know how to do that, but would like to use the clips around the boot ends if I could.

    Thanks for your help!

so I got my axles fully rebuilt from CVJ out in Denver CO. http://www.cvjreman.com/ Here is where you can get the red boots, as they are silicone and high angle (made for lifted vehicles)

I used a hose clamp for the boot slide mod, and that worked for about a year and a half before wheeling and dailying made them bite the dust haha

the clips are just pinch clamps, but again I used hose clamps and was fine :)

    Hope this helps!

Re plasti dipped my grill after 2 years of wear and tear. Figured I'd do something while changing the oil.

    IMG_3027.jpg

Next, I still need to replace my U joints and carrier bearing, then maybe one peice driveshaft one day.

I'm also thinking foxes or kings in the future as well. Either replace the bushing, replace both shocks, or upgrade. Decisions decisions lol

I go monthly... or something like that. Check out the Keystone Cruisers link in my Sig. Good group of guys! Starting to get more tacos lately.

Btw, to one of your earlier comments, Paul B does indeed rock. I used to live in Ephrata.

New to me mirror, so it isn't held on by tape!

    IMG_3206.jpg

Doesn't match my other side, so I might swap the other side too.

My passenger side is held together by a LOT of electrical tape. It's held up pretty well for a year now.

Haha mine was gorilla tape. After 2 winters like that it was time haha. The base of the mirror was fine, but not the two bolts that thread into plastic (both stripped somehow)

Had to swap the driver's side mirror too. The difference between the old and the new mirrors were driving my OCD nuts haha
