Oh I'm actually not sure then, I put the visors on right when I got my truck so it could be possible that it's the factory seal noise.

I drove my Mickey Thompson ATZ's in the rain for the first time today. Is it typically for tires like this to have less traction compared to the stock off road Goodyears? New tires are 285/75r16 and are at 32 psi. The back end stepped out a little once when accelerating around a corner. I also spun the tires on a straight launch (I was late to a meeting, don't hassle me). I know from previous experience that the stock tires would have been at their limit in these same scenarios, but would have stayed planted.

Is this normal? This is my first time putting beefy all terrains on and am not sure what to expect. What are these doing to be like in snow and ice conditions? I live in MN so winter handling is important to me.

You are aware those tires are mud terrains right? They won't handle as well as an all terrain or psssenger tire on road.

Didn't take pics when I installed, but I got my KC LED Gravity fogs installed before I moved here to Virginia temporarily. Totally worth every penny, and can't speak highly enough of @Taylor@KC HiLiTES for being extremely helpful and quickly responding when trying to get it installed.

I am running the same setup. Be prepared to do a slight inner body chop, pull the front fender wall forward, and shave the rear fender wall slightly. You will rub otherwise.

I have after market and it seems better than OEM. First OEM 600 miles, 2nd OEM 12,000 miles, after market at 15,000 and counting! Fingers crossed!

Like those recovery shackles. Where did you get them and how did you replicate a fake one? Pretty slick.

I got them from Amazon, I built them identical on the passenger side that is where the OR has a factory recovery hook bolted and an aftermarket company makes one to bolt there for the rest of us. In the same spot on the driver side there is no reinforcement so I had to just drill some holes and blot it up with no intention of ever using it, purely for looks!

Good idea! Where did you get the bracket and I am assuming you had to get two of those also?

Backing down the driveway down hill is a pia keeping it in reverse so I usually coast in neutral but can't see anything at night and its narrow. That is until tonight.IMG_20170918_195327.jpg IMG_20170918_195347.jpg IMG_20170918_195409.jpg

Okay, is lowering pressure a viable option for the snow and ice? So long as pressure is raised when the roads are dry?

Great info. I was expecting to do the chop. You still rub with the chop?

I made the brackets from two of those shackle receiver mounts and 1/4" steel plate. I wrapped the rectangle piece on the truck with the plate welded it all together, drilled the holes for the bolts and then cut the 2" square tube on the receiver slide in an L shaped so that it butted the plate and rested on the bottom of the plate then welded everything up. Here's a really crappy pic of the bottom to help make sense of it 20170918_211749.jpg
