Has anyone used the budbuilt traction bar setup to stop the drive shaft vibration on a 2nd gen taco? I am a contractor and do not plan to lift the truck.
I just want the vibration to go away.
Is it ok to post a question as a reply?

Of course it is. mjp2 has one installed on his 2nd gen, I plan on going the ruffstuff specialties route personally. ATO also makes a bolt on version IIRC.

The best setup for a leaf sprung off road use truck is a 2-link set up. These are very standard on older F150 and Broncos because they have a ridiculous amount of axle wrap. They are very easy to make but not easy to set up properly. They require you to figure out the correct arc path of the rear leaf springs and then building your link bars to match that. It is not as simple as matching the pivot point of the leafs, it has a bit of science to it that I can't quite explain correctly. All I do know is they don't really compromise any ground clearance and they work great!

The 3rd gen 4runners have lower rear control arms that do basically the same thing right? They are coils not leafs so they have to have them to eliminate axle wrap. Has anyone ever just put 4runner rear lowers on to eliminate axle wrap? Seems like with a little welding you could pretty much get a set up for next to nothing at a junk yard.

There is a YouTube video on how to limit axle wrap.
I did something similar to the video, and as soon as I left the driveway I felt this simple mod working, and much less axle wrap. I did this in hopes of extending the life of these wimpy carrier bearings. (just replaced) I'll post a pic in a bit...

Truss before links. Thoughts? Truss to protect the axle, links to keep the springs in their arc. Cannot speak from experience but everything I have read lines up with @MojaveMadman 's assessment that 2 link setups are the way to go.

of course, I used leaf spring perches for now, but it's working... Trim work is coming soon; the are 5" bolts. Maybe 4" will better suit...
