Tacoma Family! Do we have, as Tacoma owners, a wave among us?

There is the Jeep Wrangler wave and bikers have their wave.

Should we have one of our own and what should it be?

What do you do when you pass another Taco?

Good Luck....... This type of thing has been discussed over & over again on multiple forums over the years (since I owned my 96 tacoma back in 99).

Sure, you can wave....... but the other person you're waving too won't have a clue.

The Jeep, Motorcycle, and Corvette waves have been around for Generations.

And actually, I think the JEEP wave is dying off. They're making vehicles now more for the main stream - and not the diehard 'trail ready' enthusiasts.

I thumbs up good mods and we'll cared for 1st and 2nd gens.

I also break the code of honor and thumbs up Raptors and some Colorados, they need to be great rides.

I might do it for a Ram but I've never seen a worthy one.

I certainly don't "wave" to every taco I see, but I definitely check give them a second look, especially if it looks like they go wheelin, or camping, or have a first gen taco (because we're obviously cooler). I'll give a nod or a wave, but I also give the 2 finger salute to bikers, usually the dual sport guys, too.

First camping trip with my new 4Runner, ended up being surrounded by 4Runners. One guy arrived a bit after me, and made a point to walk by and chat me up, said his 4runner wanted to be next to mine, lol.

There's definitely a community, but I think it has more to do with recognizing a common interest, beyond that you just happen to drive the same vehicle.

Honestly, when my friends and I see a tacoma we like, we just give em a thumbs up or a holler if they have the windows down.

I give a thumbs up to modded taco's and tundra's all the time, and I'd say about 50% of the time I get a thumbs up or wave back. Wish it happened more around here.

    Like, so many.
I do the two finger wave pretty often. I typically only get it back from modded trucks.

yeah. Just looks like the cruiser is blocking traffic from coming down where your rig is sitting.

Is that under one of the hotels in Vegas? Maybe Reno?
