I have a relatively new Total Chaos kit with Icon TC Spec coilovers, and it seems as if my reservoir fitting needs some extra room in the coil bucket. However if I notch it, won't that compromise the strength? Icon has been unresponsive to my tech support requests.

Also my resi fitting is not in the middle, and my shaft is also not straight into the lower mount, but they are twisted opposite ways. So I'm unsure how to fix that issue since I can't get a response from Icon.

This brings back PTSD from this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/icon-leaking-resi-warning-notching-bs-and-f-ks-given.483316/

This was addressed for Icon's rear shocks, but seemingly that you have a similar problem, the cliff notes are as follows:
Notch it (whether instructions say to or not)
Stock coil buckets on Toyota have been known to deform or crack from stress off road, depending on how hard you mash it, but for added piece of mind, I'd recommend adding a 3/4" coil spacer on top of the bucket to reinforce the bucket even if you choose not to notch.

I believe @EDDO has the link. I can't find it at the moment. Will post once I do.

I'd look into getting different fittings before cutting anything.

Here's the aluminum spacers from Wheeler's: I think you might be able to find some steel ones on ebay. Keep in mind since you'll be adding them to the top of the coil bucket (not on top of the coilover between the bucket), there's no worry about buying some "cheap Chinese" part.

Missed the part about the twisted shaft. That might be a different concern. Pics would help.
IIRC, there were a couple Icon reps that are members, but they aren't really active as much. Especially after the last shit show.

I remember some guy on here checking out a long travel truck and bought it from a dealer that way. I think they fixed it for him for free - at least I hope they would lol.

The shaft is twisted towards the cab, but the reservoir is more towards the front of the cab. I’m not super worried about the lower mount, because it’s a Heim joint and will move around. But if it moves itself to the center, then the resi hose will hit the top hat. I’m gonna call Icon tomorrow and see if I can expedite a response. The coilovers are supposed to be total Chaos Spec, so I shouldn’t have to worry about things like this.

Here is my setup for reference. Maybe you can install different fittings similar to mine.

Ghost! We were both along for that ride...good call on that spacer idea. I think the hose is a little short for an LT application as my resis have enough room to be mounted horizontally along the frame.

I agree with the spacer idea as that is advantageous for the stock Icon coils as they have that weird ass top hat design. What makes their design an issue is when it fails, many times the center flies through the top of the bucket causing a lot of deformation. Having that spacer on top will hopefully mitigate this, but I don't know how the top hat design is for the LT coils.

The reservoir fitting on mine will rotate, but should I rotate it? I don’t wanna mess it up by twisting it lol

Which I get a feeling that would be exactly the case if he were to mess with the orientation of it in its current state.
